So I may have a problem, I seem to be mildly obsessed with the Build A Bears! I'm always trying to think of new ideas to make the most of these bears. My latest idea: a little Leprechaun! Eventually, this cute little guy will find his way onto a St. Patrick's Day card but I wanted to share him with you first.
For this bear, you will need:
- Glorious Green card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Basic Black card stock
- Creamy Caramel card stock
- Crushed Curry card stock
- Stampin' Up! TM Bear Die
- Beary Essentials Die
- Beary Merry Die
Using Beary Essentials, cut a coat and pants using Glorious Green. Trim the pants to be short pants like a Leprechaun would wear. You will also need to cut two triangular shapes (there is a name for this type of triangle but my geometry vocab escapes me at the moment!) to attach to the coat as a collar. You'll also need to cut a shirt using the Whisper White and a pair of shoes with Basic Black. Then, using your Beary Merry Die, cut four buckles using Crushed Curry and one belt using Basic Black. For the white tights/stockings, use the technique we've previously used on our bears, cut some legs from Whisper White using the Bear Die and adhere to the bear before dressing him. For the hat, cut a small square and round the top two corners. Add a rectangular brim and a black strap with buckle. Assemble and dress according to the photo.
When he finds his way home to a card or other project, I'll be sure to post the finished product. In the meantime, Happy St. Patrick's Day!
God Bless and Happy Stampin!
Charity
