Moving!

Hello!  I'm in the process of moving my blog to www.stampinfrogblog.wordpress.com.  I'm in the process of moving all the content of this blog over to the new location, but as you know with any relocation, there are some growing pains!  As I learn the new platform, you may find some posts here at blogspot, but as the months continue, hopefully this will become less frequent.

Please take some time and visit the new site, give me some feedback and let me know what is still missing and features you'd like to see.

Thanks!

Phoebe Turns 12

Phoebe turned 12 in December and wanted to have a sleepover. To avoid the Christmas chaos, we had her party in January. I was inspired by some invites I saw online and used my retired Matchbox Diecut to make beds and sleeping girls.

Phoebe picked colors for each friend based on their personal preferences. You'll see I used a few retired papers from Stampin' Up! The hair was also customized to match each girl.

My house is small so Phoebe + 10 friends + the rest of our household was overwhelming. So, we booked adjoining rooms at a local hotel. The girls got to eat popcorn, swim, watch movies, plus they loved being at a hotel.

For party favors, I made little makeup bags and loaded them with sample size shampoos, lotions, fingernail files, and handmade sleep masks. The girls loved them!

The bags were not made with Stampin' Up! Fabric but the masks were made from retired Candy Cane Lane fabric.

Probably one of our easiest parties!

Fun Christmas Gifts

Everyone loves handmade Christmas gifts. Here are two inspired by projects I found on Pinterest (my new favorite iPhone app!)

The cute flame less candle snowman was a CASE of Barb Mullikin's design, but I had to use the ornament punch trimmed to shape.

The Santa Pants treat holders were by a gal named Lynda, but I simplified and used my die cut machine for the box. Too cute!

Some other fun goodies we made for my daughter's Jingle Bell Run Team.

The eyes and bags are from the current Holiday Mini.

Happy You!

I had started some cards prior to convention and decided to get them finished up so I had some Thank You and general occasion cards. I used the hostess set, Happy You (item #122800 for wood or 122802 for clear). I made a bunch of 4x4 cards. I used Tangerine Tango and Floral District DSP. The ribbon is left from Sale-A-Bration 2012. I always earn so much product during Sale-A-Bration.

Additionally, I had these fun oversized paperclips that I had found at Walmart so I made up some fun book marks.

These are pretty easy to make, just sandwich the paperclips between the large circles. Fun and super easy. These would make great teacher gifts or first day of school treats for your kids.
