Harvest Candles

For a recent class, I decided to create the candles on page 11 of the Holiday Mini.  They are very easy to make and the end result is a nice but inexpensive gift for a friend.

Supplies:
  • Stamp Sets:  Paisley Prints
  • Inks:  Versamark
  • Card Stock:  Cajun Craze, More Mustard
  • Champagne Glass Glitter
  • Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Hemp Twine
  • Sponge
These candles are super simple to make.  Apply the liquid glue to the candle and spread along the bottom of the candle, creating gentle waves.  Sprinkle the glitter all around covering the entire surface.  Allow to dry.

While the glue dries, stamp a leaf on Cajun Craze and More Mustard card stock using Versamark and the Paisley Prints stamp set.  Cut out the leaves and distress by crinkling and rubbing on the edge of the table.  Once the glue is dry, tie the leaves onto the candle using the hemp twine.  After we packaged in a clear cellophane bag and tied with some ribbon.

We plan to use some of these as Thanksgiving gifts for the kids' teachers.  Just letting them know that we are thankful to have great teachers for our kids.

God Bless and Happy Stampin'!
