Graduation Card

You've seen the invitations I made for my niece, it's a CASE of a card made by Tami White.  Tami provides detailed instructions in a YouTube Video.  Very great job and perfect for what I needed.  I made a few minor changes on the inside as I didn't need a gift card holder, but if you want a gift card holder, be sure to watch the video.

I used the following:
  • Basic Black Card Stock
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock
  • Ballet Blue Grosgrain Ribbon
  • Go Graduate Stamp Set
  • Basic Black Ink
  • 5/8" Jumbo Brads
  • Stampin' Up! Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die
  • Sticky Strip
This is a super easy card with high impact.  Everyone at my niece's graduation party loved it.  You cut two scallop squares with the Scallop Square Die.  Score each one on one side at approximately 1/2" , basically far enough in that you can apply some sticky strip.  Fold the score lines and apply sticky strip to the small side of one.  Adhere the two pieces together such that the score lines make a "hinge" to open and close the card.

Unravel the ribbon by pulling on the threads at the bottom to create the tassel (again the video is excellent for showing this).  Leave enough room to punch your brad through the ribbon.  Punch a hole in the center of one scallop square and add a brad through the ribbon.  Trim as necessary to hide any excess ribbon.

Cut the Very Vanilla to size to fit inside the card, score and fold in the center.  Embellish with your sentiment or other images.  Adhere the Very Vanilla to the inside of your card and you are done.  Ready for your favorite graduate.

God Bless and Happy Stampin!
